Fête de la musique Leipzig · June 21, 2026

One night in Costa Rica. A band born for Leipzig.

Curubandé began with a single evening: musicians from the UniBigBand Leipzig performed at the Festival Internacional de las Artes in Costa Rica, sharing the stage with the country's Big Band to play "Pa' Curubandé yo voy" by Maestro Vinicio Meza. That night became the band's origin. Today, musicians from Costa Rica, Spain, Brazil, Cuba, and Germany share the stage in Leipzig, keeping that same spirit alive every time they play.

✦  A Personal Note

This project holds a very special place in my heart. Since the founding of Curubandé Latin Band in 2014, it has been a journey of learning, challenges, and great satisfaction. This whole journey has been possible thanks to the musical support of many talented friends, who together have helped shape this idea into what it is today. Now we all share this wonderful experience, and it is a joy to pass on the energy of our music to so many people. I am deeply grateful to every one of you!
